写好个人自述的确不是一件容易的事，你需要投入很多的时间和精力。
每年高考自主招生简章发布之后，很多高考生都忙着准备自荐信和个人自述。根据往年参加自主招生高考生的经验，一味的抄范文是很容易在初审的时候不通过的，只有在了解自荐信和个人自述的格式，然后仔细分析自己的优势，写出来的自荐材料才是最容易打动学校的。
个人陈述有中学推荐资格的学生，相对于自荐的学生通过高校初审是比较容易的，所以如果可能，建议家长尽可能争取校荐资格。自荐的学生，如果没有很硬的获奖证明，唯一能说服高校老师给考生一个考试的机会可能就是个人陈述材料了。
自主招生初审阶段，个人陈述是高校招办老师了解学生的一个重要手段，考生的平时成绩和高中阶段获得的重要奖项，是否能通过自主招生初审的主要标准，除此之外就是个人陈述了，一个好的个人陈述对于考生来说就是助推剂，甚至特别优秀的个人陈述也能决定你能否通过初审。
个人陈述在写之前，先要整理出来一个思路。回忆一下你在成长经历中对你影响比较大的故事、人物，再把你所有的优点和特长罗列出来，不要觉得自己没有什么优点，可以和父母或者一些关系比较亲密的人讨论，通过他们的口来发掘和认识你自己。
通过各种途径详细了解你要报考的大学特色，但是短时间了解一个大学的特点对于一个高三考生来说是比较困难的，我们先可以在网上查询大学的校训、大学的历史、大学所在地域特点、大学的优势学科、大学中曾经发生过的一些感人的故事，大学名师和名人校友等方面来入手了解一个大学。此外还要了解你报考的专业将来要从事什么职业，是否符合你的人生理想，也要了解你所报考的专业，在大学中学习哪些课程。
下一步，需要确定一个大概的文章思路，结合你报考的大学和专业特点，确定应该重点表现哪些优势特长。然后就需要确立文章的整理思路，开头表达要新颖，中间部分重点说明你的特长优势和学习成长历程，再加一些你的人生感悟。结尾部分最好说明一下你的报考这个大学和专业的理由，然后表述你对未来的.规划和你的理想。
这样一篇个人陈述的大体框架就比较完整了。
在写的过程中还有一些注意事项：
1、要分清主次，有所强调;一定要围绕事先确定的内容和思路进行撰写，写的时候不要东一榔头西一棒子，觉得这样重要，那也重要，都想放进去，把自己写的无比优秀，这样缺乏文章的连贯性，让读者老师觉得很你很浮躁。一定要在众多优点中突出能符合你所报大学和专业要求的优点，其他优点简单提一下，甚至可以不提;
2、思路新颖，要有一个比较好的切入点，好的开头能让你老师对你印象深刻，也能吸引老师阅读下去;
3、文章主体为说明文，可以兼用叙述、议论、描写、抒情等多种表达方式;
4、将考生所获奖项穿插在考生的兴趣爱好、文章观点和故事当中，作为说明考生情况的一种结果，尽量用高中期间的获奖奖项，实在没有可以用高中以前的，写明获奖名次及名称，这些奖项的使用，应该是和文章的有机结合，是为了说明你的特长、优势，不能为说明奖项而写;
5、情感真挚，不做作。具体形象表现考生的成绩和能力时，关键要感情真挚，表现一个真实的人;对于一个报考理工科而且语文成绩不是十分突出的考生，文字尽量要朴实，铺陈直述，可以不用那么多华丽的辞藻堆砌;
6、充分张扬XX后高考考生的风貌个性，每个人都有自己的梦想，想象一下，每年一个大学的自主招生至少有三四千人报考，一个招办老师可能需要阅读上千封个人陈述;好的文章不会让老师感到厌烦，能通过你的个人陈述喜欢上你这个人;
7、文笔好的学生写的时候注意文字流畅，无错字语病，有一定文采，文字精练又有深意，可以引经据典，可以用排比、拟人、比喻等一些修辞手法穿插在文章中，突出自己的个性，能让审阅老师阅读时留下深刻美好的印象;
8、可以写写为什么要报考这个大学，为什么报考这个专业，适当表现出考生对所报考大学的向往和对所报考专业的喜爱;
9、一般个人陈述要在大学报名开始之前写好，大学自主招生招生章程出来之后，仔细阅读。
大学自主招生招生章程，看看对个人陈述是否有字数和内容等方面的要求，这个时候只需要修改一些就可以了;免得报名的时候才开始写，准备不充分，文章质量不够高。
